how do you get passwords to work?

I have tried to open files that are password protected and I can't find a way (or figure out how) to type in the password it is requested. Is there a trick to do this that a novice user may not figure out? I try typing the password by nothing appears. What is up?

You should be prompted in the command line window that is opened. If that's not happening, then something's wrong. What kind of file are you trying to extract? Eg., .zip? .rar? .7z? Let me know and I'll do some testing.

I get the prompt in the window, but when I try to type in the password, nothing happens.

I should add that if I try to open a file that is not password protected, the extracter works great!

Re: how do you get passwords to work?

Great work BTW!

I have the same issue as the above poster. Open a password protected spanned RAR ie. part12.rar and Dos prompt for password but am unable to type anything in the DOS window.

Thx again for this app.
